New Highest Point(TINOC) via Kiangan, Ifugao

New Highest Point - Tinoc, Ifugao

Day 1 : June 28, 2019

We rode on our bike from Isabela to Kiangan, Ifugao more or less 100+ kilometers from my point of origin. This is just a chill ride for the three of us but apparently we reach Kiangan around 12pm.

We ate lunch, tasting the delicacies called Pinuneg

After eating we discussed if we can stay in Kiangan for overnight or head over Tinoc Poblacion with 37kms to go. The discussion went well majority wins because we thought 37kms will be enough for 3-4 hours. We also asked Kiangan folks about going to Tinoc and all their feedback are all good thats why we push through going from Kiangan to Tinoc (only to find out of the road and weather condition..... videos will be uploaded to youtube). At exactly 2pm we started pedalling only to find out that the road is gruesome...... stiff rough road, muddy and foggy with rain.

We expected to reach Tinoc poblacion around 6 pm but due to road and weather condition we are delayed and arrived 8 pm in the evening. Asked the locals where we can stay for a night they pointed a lodge. They are very accommodating, we eat and then went to sleep.

Day 2 : June 29, 2019

Good Morning Tinoc!!!

At exactly 5am in the morning we ride out going to the new highest point with this cold breezy morning and a sudden increase of heart beat because we are surprise of the stiff climb.

Be careful always because some roads are one way and landslide prone area. Amazingly the view is great here with a sea of clouds.

Lets go back to our journey the New Highest Point. From the kilometer 0 we need to pedal 10kms to react our target.

At this point onwards, fog is starting to build and raindrops is pouring in.

We refilled our bottles with fresh waters from the mountains.

Rain is pouring and rocks are rolling from the mountains lol

This portion is a one way very stiff to climb will post video in youtube.

We reach the New Highest Point at around 8:40am and totally it is very cold at 12% with fogs and raindrop.

This is a new achievement for us bike all the way, no support vehicle(sag).

As of this posting or 3 hours after we reached the New Highest Point the DPWH  installed a new signage.

saklap bes kelangan natin balikan!!!

New Highest Point via Kiangan, Ifugao is very challenging for us let say 70% pave and 30% rough road.

We rode back from Tinoc to Isabela mostly downhill.

We Thank you Lord our God for the guidance for this ride.

We will comeback again soon ^_^
