Night ride at the Island Garden City of Samal



Samal, officially the Island Garden City of Samal, is a 4th class city in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 104,123 people.
It is made up of Samal Island and the smaller Talikud Island in the Davao Gulf, from the merger of former municipalities of Samal, Babak, and Kaputian.
Samal is a part of the Metropolitan Davao area, and is located two kilometers away from Davao City, the largest city and the primary economic center of Mindanao.

Anyways, we rode our bike going to the port to ride a ferry(RoRo). The ferry is in 24 hours operation according to the teller. By the way when ever you are riding your bike always bring your Identification card.

                              
                     

This ferry will take you from Davao City to the Island of Samal approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour travel time.  The sea breeze feels good.

We arrived at Samal Island at dusk of the fading sun. This is a night ride it is important to have a bike light.



Actually Samal Island is my bike goal or perhaps the so called Samal Loop but due to limited time and bike capable(full suspension mtb is needed to do the loop) we just did what we can bike. Because its already night we haven't a moment to visit the other tourist destination.

Indeed a bikecation experience but still not enough ride lol this is definitely a lifetime experience looking to comeback soon and do the Samal Loop. Amazing Destination, people and there's still a lot to discover here. Come and ride your bike going to Samal Island. ❤

How to get there? we bike it ofcouse ^_^ anyways getting there is easy: commute:  from Cordon-national highway  ride a van/jeep going to diffun and drop off at highway going to Barangay Gabriela Silang, Diffun, Isabela and ride a tricycle. drop off here and ride a tricycle if you owned a vehicle going here watch out because some roads is at one lane and very steep to climb. New Highest Point(TINOC) via Kiangan, Ifugao

New Highest Point - Tinoc, Ifugao Day 1 : June 28, 2019 We rode on our bike from Isabela to Kiangan, Ifugao more or less 100+ kilometers from my point of origin. This is just a chill ride for the three of us but apparently we reach Kiangan around 12pm.        We ate lunch, tasting the delicacies called  Pinuneg .  After eating we discussed if we can stay in Kiangan for overnight or head over Tinoc Poblacion with 37kms to go. The discussion went well majority wins because we thought 37kms will be enough for 3-4 hours. We also asked Kiangan folks about going to Tinoc and all their feedback are all good thats why we push through going from Kiangan to Tinoc (only to find out of the road and weather condition..... videos will be uploaded to youtube).
